What is Kangen Water
Kangen Water is made by Enagic’s line of ionizers that changes the molecular structure of water to produce alkaline ionized water. The machines can produce 5 different types of water from a strong acidic to a strong alkaline water that all have different uses and benefits. It can also clean out harmful chemicals such as chlorine.
Three Properties and Benefits of Kangen Water
- Alkalinity – A healthy body’s pH (potential hydrogen) is around 7.3 pH. Depending on a person’s lifestyle and eating habits, the body’s pH can drop, this is due to most food and beverages being acidic. When your pH drops below 7.0 pH it becomes acidic and that is when people may start developing health problems. Some diseases stem from your body being overly acidic. Many human diseases cannot survive in an alkaline state. It’s like trying to plant an orchid in the North Pole it’s not going to work. When a child is first born they are alkaline because the mother’s amniotic fluid is alkaline.
2. Anti-Oxidants – When regular tap water goes through the electrolysis chamber of the ionizer, it filters, charges and splits the water making it the highest antioxidant liquid that you can drink. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that has been shown to damage cells, antioxidants such as those produced by the ionizers can prevent the cells damage. If you take an avocado cut it in half, go shopping and come back you’ll notice that it has turned brown. Same thing will happen with a banana or an apple. This special water has a very high ORP (oxidation reduction potential).
3. Micro-clustered – The clusters of water molecules in Kangen water are significantly smaller than that of regular water. This can reduce the usual feeling of being bloated after drinking water. Regular water has about 15 to 20 molecules per cluster compared to Kangen water which has about 5 to 6 molecules per cluster. This results in the water having the ability to be absorbed easier by your body, hydrating the body faster.
Uses and Benefits of Kangen Water
The 5 different types of water produced are:
Strong Kangen Water (11.5 pH) – Use this water to clean your fruits and vegetables which will remove the outside wax coating and pesticides from it. You can also soak your meats for 5 to 10 minutes for cleaning and tenderizing.
It is good for cleaning oil and tough grime from vents, as well as general cleaning in the kitchen. The extra strength will remove coffee, soy sauce and oil based stains from clothes, rugs and carpets.
Use as a nasal wash when sinuses are plugged or spray on eyes to dissolve and remove makeup. Drink 1/2 to 1 ounce of 11.5 pH strong Kangen water before bedtime to help release melatonin for a good night sleep.
Strong Acidic Water (2.5 pH) – This water has disinfecting properties that can kill most organisms such as; bacteria, e-coli, salmonella just to name a few. Use it to sanitize your kitchen utensils, cutting boards, dish towels and counter tops to keep areas safe and clean. It can clean hard water spots off of chrome and rust off of metal. For sore throat, strep throat and coughing gargle 3-4 times per day with this water or put it in a spray bottle and spray into your throat.
Clean Water (7.0 pH) – Remove chlorine, rust and cloudiness to create balanced neutral water. The three-layered, high-powered water cleaning filter removes not only chlorine, but also matters such as rust and impurities. You can use this water when taking medication. Most medication is time released, and if taken with alkaline water, it may pass through the system too quick and you won’t get the full benefits of the medication. It can also be used when making baby formula.
Beauty Water ( 4.0 pH – 6.0 pH) – It’s great to use for gentle cleaning and beauty care. The astringent properties of acidic water are effective in toning and firming your skin. Spray on your skin to soothe and heal rashes including diaper rash.
Great for boiling eggs and pasta, not only does the acidic water boil quickly but you will have perfect al dente noodles that won’t stick together.
For washing and preparing fruits/vegetables containing anthocyanins such as plums, grapes, cherries, strawberries, egg plant, red cabbage and asparagus. Spray foods when freezing so that the food, including fish and shrimp, do not lose their flavour when thawed out.
It’s great for cleaning hardwood floors and ceramic tiles with a fast drying time.
Kangen Water (8.5 pH, 9.0 pH and 9.5 pH) – There are three types of alkaline drinking water produced by the machine. This type of water is perfect for drinking and healthy cooking. It works to restore your body to a more alkaline state, which optimizes health.
Use for making great coffee and teas – for which taste and aroma are everything. You will be surprised by the improved colour, taste, and aroma; you can use less coffee or tea and achieve a full rich taste. It draws out flavours of ingredients so they become tender and juicy, therefore using less seasoning such as salt. It’s good for people wanting to reduce their salt intake.
It is recommended that everyone who chooses to drink Kangen water start by drinking 8.5 pH water. After successfully drinking the 8.5 pH water for two weeks which means that you are not experiencing any discomfort while drinking the water then you may choose to increase the water pH level up to the 9.0 pH setting.
After an additional two weeks of drinking 9.0 pH water successfully, meaning that you are not experiencing any discomfort while drinking the water other then frequent urination. You may then choose to increase the water pH level up to the 9.5 pH setting, which is the recommended level for the Kangen drinking water.
Occasionally people experience cleansing symptoms. It is typically caused by your body releasing stored toxins and acidic wastes. If you experience any cleansing symptoms, such as headaches, loose bowel movements, or coughing when you start on the 8.5 pH water, then you should increase the amount of water you are drinking to help flush the toxins from your system. If you experience these symptoms after increasing the pH of the water you are consuming, then go back to the last pH setting that you were able to drink without experiencing these symptoms and increase the amount of water that you consume until these symptoms stop.
